About the Role 

The Content Creator & Social Media Specialist will support BDO's digital  presence across various platforms. Reporting to the Brand & Marketing Manager, this position is responsible for creating, planning, and executing content for social media, monitoring performance, and continuously optimising campaigns to align with BDO Malta’s broader marketing objectives. 

This role plays a critical part in showcasing BDO Malta’s thought leadership, services, and culture, including "Life at BDO" campaigns and initiatives related to our services and sectors. 


Key Responsibilities 


Content Creation & Management 

  • Develop engaging and brand-aligned content for posts, stories, and reels across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
  • Create high-quality visuals and copy that adhere to BDO’s global brand guidelines. 
  • Manage a detailed social media content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting. 
  • Coordinate within the Marketing Department to align content with broader campaigns and goals. 


Campaign Execution 

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives, such as "Life at BDO," by producing content that highlights company culture.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote the participation at external events. 


Analytics & Optimisation 

  • Monitor social media metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, follower growth) and provide regular performance reports to the Brand & Marketing Manager. 
  • Analyse content performance and recommend strategies for improvement. 
  • Use insights to optimise campaigns and content for better audience engagement. 


Platform Trends 

  • Stay updated on social media trends and propose innovative content formats, tools, and strategies. 
  • Ensure BDO Malta’s presence on emerging platforms aligns with brand values and objectives. 


The Ideal Candidate

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred. 
  • Digital certifications  such as LinkedIn/Meta certifications and Adobe certifications are favourably considered. 


Experience 

  • 1–2 years of experience in branding and social media marketing. 
  • Demonstrated experience with platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter. 
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design platforms. 
  • Familiarity with video editing tools for short-form content (preferred but not required). 


Skills & Abilities 

  • Strong creative flair and ability to produce visually appealing content. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media metrics. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
  • Superior organisational and time management skills with attention to detail. 
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and seek opportunities for improvement. 
  • Ability to multitask and balance shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
