Responsibilities
The role will primarily focus on:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems and networks;
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests;
- Administer Office 365 systems and storage
- Ensuring that the infrastructure meets the requirements of the global network in matters of compliance, while also meeting the requirements for the organization quality standards;
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary;
- Testing new technology;
- Work with senior management to prioritise business and information needs;
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities;
- Participating in IT-related asset purchases on an organisation-wide basis;
- Effectively plan and manage time, for tasks completion;
- Problem solving and taking decisions in a fast-paced technical environment; and
- Assist in other tasks as directed
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree Holder in IT or equivalent certification
- One year systems administration experience working in a mixed systems IT environment will be an advantage.
- Relevant IT Certifications (Microsoft, Other System Vendors) will be an advantage
Technical skills
- Maintain and provide support for Office 365
- Strong understanding of different operating systems, hardware, database, networking, firewall and telephony technologies
- Ability to support virtual and cloud environments (Vmware, Azure)
- Good knowledge/working experience in: Storage management, Backup Solution and Replication, Security Infrastructure - Endpoint Protection, Encryption, DLP, Helpdesk and Asset Management System
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good Project and Teams Management skills
- Ability to Collaborate and interact with stakeholders
- Good time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
