The Malta Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects launched the Aviation Stakeholders Forum in a press conference on the 25th February 2021.

This Forum is expected to include stakeholders from both governmental and private spheres, in which together they will work to implement new policies in the aviation industry in Malta. This medium shall allow individuals, coming from different areas, to contribute and create a well-balanced approach and understanding towards the industry.

Malta is considered a reputable jurisdiction in the aviation industry and this can be seen through the successful increase in aircraft registrations and aircraft operations over the past years. In fact, aviation is considered as one of the main contributors towards Malta’s economic growth whilst, at the same time, it continues to form part of the country’s economic development strategy.

While the global pandemic may have had a negative effect on the industry, this Forum should be an optimistic outlook for the future.
