The BDO Malta Internal Audit Forum is specifically designed for senior executives and professionals in particular Non-Executive Directors, C-Suite officers & Heads or Senior Executives of Internal Audit, Risk Management & ICT Risk Management departments.

 

CPE Accreditation

The BDO Malta Internal Audit Forum has been accredited with 1.5 hours of structured CPE qualifying under Core and 1 hour of structured CPE qualifying under Professional Development competency as per the Accountancy Board Accreditation Rules. Being an in-person event, attendance is mandatory for attainment of CPE credits. CPE certificates will be sent to attendees once attendance is confirmed. The event is free of charge.

• Mr Dhayalaruban (Ruban) Thangaraja - Director of Internal Audit at BDO Malta

Ruban leads the internal audit service line at BDO Malta with over 14 years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, and process improvement. He has a diverse background working in multiple sectors including financial services, gaming, and hospitality. Ruban’s expertise extends beyond internal audits, covering SOX compliance, ERM, and corporate governance. He holds an MBA in International Business and Finance and numerous certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (IIA Global) and ESG Advisor.
 

• Mr. Colin Calleja – Director of Risk, BDO Malta

Colin heads the risk advisory, ESG and compliance service lines at BDO Malta. With a strong focus on enterprise risk management, Colin is dedicated to helping organisations seize opportunities within their markets. Colin is certified in risk management and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Malta.
 

• Mr. Ivan Spiteri – Director of Technology Advisory & Assurance, BDO Malta

Ivan brings over 27 years of experience in technology advisory and assurance, specialising in IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. He has led numerous IT projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Ivan’s expertise includes DORA Compliance, ISO27001, GDPR Compliance, and IT risk management. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).
