Dr. Jackie Mallia

Jackie leads BDO Malta’s legal team, having obtained a Doctor of Laws at the University of Malta and subsequently pursued a Master of Laws degree in Technology and Communications Law from Queen Mary, University of London.  

She has extensive expertise across a wide range of legal disciplines, from addressing complex corporate challenges to drafting legislative frameworks for diverse stakeholders. Her clients include multinational corporations and governmental bodies both within and beyond the EU. Jackie is particularly passionate about supporting investors and organisations in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) blockchain and eSports. A recognised thought leader in AI and disruptive technologies, she was involved in shaping Malta’s AI framework as a key member of the Malta.AI Task Force, where she led the Legal and Ethics Working Group.  

Jackie is dedicated to delivering practical, actionable advice that enables clients to overcome complex legal challenges without hindering innovation and growth.
